A recent study by USC showed that compassion is not possible when communicating over the internet on social networks. I say, it doesn't do any damage to the undamaged. Or rather, it may push those whose entire social life has been on a computer, but certainly it couldn't hurt those whom have a balanced diet of real human to human interaction with some online social behavior.
Interesting study all the same...

I'd have said disagree if I had caught this in time. Briefly these are the reasons why:
* SN sites do encourage interaction, because on line socials can co-exist with real life.
* If people are not compassionate, it probably has nothing to do with their computer usage.
Yes I'd have also liked to see this report. Does anyone know where it can be found online?

Social networks like Twitter and Facebook are only harmful to the helpless!
